Our Procell Journey
Amelia Vargas, L.Ac., Licensed Esthetician, and Diana Horowitz, L.Ac., are Acupuncturists and co-founders of EastWest Microneedling. Each independently discovered the connection between motorized Microchanneling and East Asian medicine’s traditional plum blossom technique in 2015, early in the evolution of Microneedling devices. As research-driven practitioners with integrity, they sought to ensure that Microneedling was not just a cosmetic trend, but a treatment aligned with the holistic principles of East Asian medicine, promoting true skin health and systemic wellness. They were delighted to discover that Procell’s patented microchanneling device uses a precise vertical tapping motion that mirrors East Asia’s traditional plum blossom method, minimizing skin trauma compared to sliding microneedling techniques.
Since 2015, Amelia and Diana have been dedicated practitioners and educators, weaving Procell devices and regenerative serums into their unique Integrative Microneedling Method.
